Great plan but . . .
The tax break is for corporations, I believe for example Microsoft donates millions of dollars worth of software to schools and non-profits and deducts the retail value of those donations from their "corporate profits".

As a lowly individual however the Feds have seen fit to severely limited in how much you can deduct from your tax bill for "charitable donations"; I wonder why? It's almost like they don't trust you to fairly report the value of your charitable donations.
