I had to remove that crap manually from Win98. I wonder what the hell has DRM to do with my own files and recording of my own sounds with 3rd party software. Well Microsoft thinks that replacing my own sounds with hissing noise is the way to go.

If they continue that I will post list of DLL's and method to remove from Windows to get rid of the problem. We buy recording software for a reason. If someone uses it to break copyrights that's another story. Apparently, geeks at Microsoft cant imagine that one may need to record background sounds and narration for video editing. It is too difficult to them since they offer some crappy entry level vifdeo editing solutions with features that I used in 1999 (when I purchased some more advanced software).
