Gee Mike, your logic makes Digital Research DOS the same as MS DOS.

I assure you that they were not. DR DOS was fast, stable, and complete, and a better base for Win 3.1 than MS DOS.

I've even read reports that the techs at Caldera found it to be a better base for Win95 than MSDOS.

We could also use one of those discredited automotive analogise here. Both Chevrolets and Fords carry people from point to point. Nothing is interchangeaable.
