Close the door on 'free' non-professional software
Isn't it about time that software users who depend on computer systems for their businesses simply closed the door on non-attributable 'free' software, whose writers are without professional contractual obligations to a software company? Isn't there a code authentication that can be enabled in Windows by Microsoft by an update to ensure that such free or shared code can no longer be used?

The more time passes, the more it seems our network computers become as dangerous as a badly-driven automobile. We don't want hobby software; it is a professional approach that the business world requires. Even Microsoft isn't perfect but, my word!, they support us properly (though not as closely as our London-based ISP). In our opinion, you can't trust a programmer who you or a software company can't render unemployable. It's like that in business ownership, and it should be like that for those who offer so-called professional tools.

Three years we have locked-down our systems; three years we have not had unlicenced code running.
