YES YES YES...

I am so tired of support centres where I have to repeat myself a dozen times only to be misunderstood and redirected or end up having an argument on the phone with some "Idiot" who is telling me what my problem is when the problem in the first place is that they don't understand what I'm telling them.

No offense to Indian people, but if you get a job with specific language skills isn't it important to have the associated comphrension skills? In Canada you don't get a job communicating with French speaking people if you can't speak proper french, and I'm sure in the US you don't get a job speaking to the Spanish community if you can't speak proper Spanish. (meaning you have to understand what you're saying as well as being able to speak...communication involves speaking, listening, comprehending and responding...not just speaking)

Is it so much to ask that those who employ staff put a little bit of "quality control" in their hiring practices?

I look forward to the day I need support from HP or Microsoft or some other company and get to talk to someone that not only can speak English, but also understands what is being communicated to them!

Let's hope Kenya makes their mark and we all get better customer service.
