This is a forum for IT professionals. Those who want to understand stocks or IPOs should be blogging elsewhere. Those who want to invest in their professional careers should pay attention but should not be investing in technology stocks. Most of the problems in our IT industry are related to investment incentives. When IT professionals are paid with back dated options even just in stock, the interests of the profession (interoperability and transparency) get subverted. Criminal cultures are the end result.
We American Programmers are becoming the most powerful professionals on the planet. Certainly more powerful than lawyers and management and educators. Likely more powerful than military professionals.
