- What onb earth are you babbling on about?

I can't make any sense from your comment, I sincerely doubt you could find any sense in it while you were writing it...
I suggest that the USA and Microsoft would be better off without Ballmer. His comments today are those of king makers and traitorous to the US democracy. Of course Microsoft is not a US company any more. 20 to 30 percent of those on the payroll on US soil are not US citizens.
Newsflash, every CEO of business wants to be king of their field, not just Ballmer at Microsoft. Would Apple and USA be better off without Steve Jobs? Would IBM and USA be ebtter off without Lou Gerstner? And what difference does it make about of nationality of those working at Microsoft? What are the ratios of foreigners at Google, Yahoo or even your beloved NewsCorp? Is this not a sign that USA is actually benefiting from foreigners working in your companies?
The disruptive technology changes Ballmer intends to tackle are changes that will make the USA the greatest economic engine on the planet. They are the changes that will give Web 2.0 universal access to everyone in the USA. They are changes supporting FREEDOM.
Newsflash again, "Web 2.0" (cringe) is an international medium and universal access is already available to this medium to all across the world. Britain, Australia, India, Romania, South Africa, Turkey, China, Brazil... all countries that are equally able, if not more so, to benefit from these "disruptive changes" that you fail to have the first feckin clue about.
These changes can not be duplicated in any other country - to the distress of multi-national especially banking and finance interests.
China seem to be having a fair crack at it and I suspect that India won't be that far behind.
These are the changes that will advance the US form of democracy to the point where monopoly power (king making power) will never corrupt a US federal government again. Never again will loyalists be given government jobs that yield Katrina results nor will corporate lobiests be able to undo antitrust (king making) remedies and permatemp (slave making) penalties.
Bollocks!
Why is it that computing phones with as much if not more capability than a Microsoft Windows PC can be purchased for $150. Disruptive technology change is warranted. Ballmer needs to get out of the way in the USA at least. Let him peddle product to lesser democracies - England, Poland, Germany and the like, who still believe in Kings.
The computing phones that you buy for $150 (and that I get for free on an 18 month plan at $30 a month with unlimited data, God Bless Britain!) have the computing power that a Windows PC would have had in 1996. How much would you pay for a Windows PC from 1996? The bloody iPhone (there's that device again) has the processing power of a G4 from 2001! How much would you pay for one of those? Oh and BTW, England is part of the United Kingdom which is a constitutional democracy where pretty much all power lies in the Commons and the Prime Minister (who did you think Tony Blair was, Crown Prince of Westminster?) and Germany and Poland are republics, they have presidents, just like USA! - Posted by: GeoNorth Posted on: 07/27/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
