point is its access to technology not integration for high end customers
You cant compare to the windows release until at least redhat's enterprise version has it. Maybe redhat will still beat MS, but you are declaring victory when the race is far from over. Even then, it is just one of the many distros that has it.

OK, is the source to this distro available? If you are so motivated can you take the code for this feature and port it to your own custom kernel? Granted most folks won't do this but you'd be suprised how many customers will for the right feature. BSD had a long history of customers adding and removing features from the kernel and LINUX has thousands of customers who do the same. At the very least you can look at the distros as folks doing exactly what I say (studying RH's implementation) and you'd be surprised how many users build their own kerrnel - they don't show up on the sales stats but they really do exist ... they are not phantoms but power users fully capable of adding value in areas such as this if given the chance and the financial incentive!

One of my pet peeves is when people take all the best features from all sorts of distrubutions of linux and combine them in their head into one, then talk about it as if that nonexistant distro is the one and only Linux.

Wow ... talk about spin. There is only one LINUX, its the kernel maintained by Linus' team. The distros add stuff to the kernel and above the kernel but ... there really is only one LINUX! That's the whole advantage of LINUX, parallel development tracks (forked stuf) with a single integration team pulling the best stuff back into the mainstream ... get it?
