Linux gets trial 'NX' security support
Your wrong.
Read the story again.
Linus say set the default 'NX' option to on and
let a few programs stop working.
He choose for secure working, the few programs
have bad luck.

MS does the opposite. Opens the holes and let
the virus come in, closing the holes can alway
later be done by selling a new windows version
or releasing a patch that 50% of the people will
not install. We can always say it is users fault
and not ours. They must upgrade (paying for bugs
nd security holes) or do not apply patches.
Resulting I can't use my computer with pleasure.
One hour a the day you are apply patches or are
interrupted by virus scanners, worms, hanging IE
by BHO loaded because such holes. Thanks you MS.

Simple leak of protecting the system and every
internet site or mail can install and run
programs and plugins without asking permission
by design.
That is user friendly but don't be surprised
virus/worm writers do it to.

For your 'Linsux wasn't vulnerable to viruses
and worms myth' you are right, it can happen
with linsux to but you need more then 1000 PC's
to find one and with 1000 PC's with windows you
will find 1 or more. It is the difference in
infection quantity in favor to have linux.

The second thing is the way to infect a PC.
That is for linux very difficult and for windows
very easy.

The third thing is protection.
If you know it can start raining, do you open
all the windows and go on holiday?
Well linux boxes are almost on hollyday special
the ones operating as servers. They are put in
in the garage. Why? if they run they stay
running. No one looks to them because you don't
need it. No dayly reboots to clean the messy
memory and restore the speed or stop hanging.

For linux is the rule add security before the
damage and switch it off if a need to do.
That is what here in this message count.

'I guess this proves the linsux virus/worm myth'
If there is really a myth yes you are right but
who see it as a myth.
Only the person that want to see it as a myth.
For other it is a realistic fact they have
experience sofar.

There are hackers able to intrude linux systems,
that is true but the virus and worms with the
actions they do with windows systems and
multiply them self across the local network and
internet by email to do mental and economical
damage are almost impossible to work success
fully. That makes a whole difference.

And for this last part, system administrators
can do change rights and configuration changes
with already implemented handles to prevent this
and for windows you have to wait MS find it
important enough after the damage is done to
release a patch/security update and hoping it is
installed, what is in most cases the infected
systems only and not all systems in the world.
Not everyone has the autoupdate on, and with
good reason, because many systems where broken
after such updates in the past.

Your negative reaction is showing your bad
personality very good.
Lucky me I do not have to live with you.
Poor wife and children if you have them else I
hope you don't get them fore there health.
