If you can't compete against MS, hitch a ride on the OSS choo choo train ..
So this is what things have come to? Sun squandered opportunities to respond the emerging PC threat by obsessing over MS. Sun resorted to name calling; sneaking around and trying to get MS in trouble with US and European governments using antitrust issues; and also lawsuits. All this fixation with MS, instead of worrying about its customers and emerging competitive threats, has now cost the company. Sun now finds itself begrudgingly hitching a ride on the OSS choo choo train, along with so many other companies that went up against MS and did not succeed. This is sad. So very sad indeed.
