I've yet to see a pop using Mozilla
I have recieved pop-ups like described in the article when using IE and pop up blocker. I found Mozilla's pop up blocker to be a little to restrictive for a time and went back to IE with a pop up blocker but missed tabbed browsing too much. But in that short time I watched more and more pop up ads slip past IE's third party blocker from google.

Mozzilla is an all or nothing blocker. You have to specifically add in sites to by pass the blocking. Even user initiated pop ups won't work. But then you have that hassle of using sites that you want to initiate pop ups. Today I avoid those sites as they aren't worth my time.
