Intel, of course, is not doing this out of charity but for the benefit of the bottom line. Unlike a certain frequent poster to this and other ZDNet threads, they seem to feel that economic rationality lies in collaboration with Linux developers and firms like Canonical and, no less significant, a Chinese firm, Red Flag Linux (北京中科红旗软件技术有限公司). I hope Stephen Shankland and other ZDNet journalists and commentators will continue to keep us posted....
