RE: M$ loosing market again
You're clearly so out of touch with the market that intelligent dialogue may prove impossible. The market for SQL Server has always been the small to mid-size business. Very few major ERP platforms support SQL Server, and those that do support it with the disclaimer that it's not the preferred RDBMS. Nothing's changed there. The thought that Oracle would move into those 3-10 person IS departments is ludicrous at best. Between the initial software cost, training costs and ongoing support cost it doesn't make any sense. Oracle should stick to what it does best...large enterprise-level databases...instead of trying to master the entire RDBMS market. Larry Ellison is a shrewd business man, but he's got this God complex that has hurt Oracle Corp in the past and will continue in the future.
