They are not trying any such thing. You on the other hand want to infringe on their freedom by trying to dictate to them what they can and shouldn?t do with their own code. We truly live in a world of ?white is black and war is peace?.
I do not hear you complaining about Microsoft?s, which doesn?t give you any freedom to change /modify their code to suit your needs. Yet here you are bagging GPLv3 that allows that. You have the freedom to not use GPLv3 software and the developers have the freedom to decide on what terms their software can be used. Where have they indicated that you MUST use their software?
Comply with their licence if you use their software just as you would any other licence that you use.
