For all practical purposes
And notwithstanding the finer points of
law (which we all know the definition
of), the GPL couldn't care less what
Microsoft does. If someone is dumb
enough to pay Microsoft for something
they could get from the GPL for free,
they deserve Microsoft and everything
that goes with Microsoft. The trouble
starts when Microsoft tries to claim
that the GPL must pay them (Microsoft)
for distributing what they just snitched
from the GPL themselves. That's when the
GPL must get down in the pig shat with
Microsoft and wrestle them (Microsoft)
for what already belongs to them (the
GPL).

Microsoft believes because they have
unlimited resources they can bully the
GPL into submission, but they
(Microsoft) just may be surprised at the
support (some of which may be out of
sight) the GPL has, and shocked that
they (the GPL) may not be as stupid as
they (Microsoft) supposed.

It just may turn out that some of the
GPL boys taught some of the pigs how to
wallow in the pig shat and wrestle to
begin with.

On the other hand, with the amount of
money there is at stake (for Microsoft,
at least), they could hire any number of
hit men. So it could turn out to be a
really bloody battle with guys and pigs
stacked like cordwood. Look at the
number of victims from the Godfathah
before his regime was toppled.
