MS don't like you, and you don't like MS
that's why you reverse engineer proprietary and commercial elements to include in distros after the fact, and why MS keeps secret and mum about what open source stuff is mixed in with their closed and property stuff. Seems like both sides are spooked, because software design has too many similar aspects to say that party one did it in a non-patented way, without this track of code or that string of characters. Let's say, both sides will hardly agree, especially on contractual issues and especially on business models. But they're free to choose their sides.
