This explains the Apple patent
on the iPod software. Is this an infringement lawsuit in the
making?

I predict it will be mediocre, will take 4 or 5 upgrades to get it
right, will be pre-loaded with Longhorn and NOT removable as it
will become an integral part of the OS and iTunes will slip to 4 -
5% market share but will still be a far superior experience.
People will complain that Apple's free iTunes app costs more
than MS new WMP free app. Linux will come out with some
geeky thing that tries to do the same thing.

The iPod division creates the next killer hardware/software
combination and Redmond will be red-faced again.

(Tablet PC anyone?)
