Microsoft is playing to a band of its own for now:

This articles speaks of the DRM here that 'flashes a device. In some way. A while back I had checked out some DVDs from a rental store, and the DVDs would not play and I asked about them. The store attendant told me that the encryption on the DVDs was the culprit (I just felt that the DVD player wasn't buffering for these consistently) . He also said that a disk from a manufacturer could 'program a DVD player to accept 'new encryption found on newer DVDs. I have found that 1 in 5 DVDs do not play. And noted that these are mostly more recent DVDs 2002 and up.
Of course it is much easier to have a manufacturer change encryption on the manufacture, than it is for a consumer to buy a new player everytime a DVD is purchased.
Myself I kind of think the DVD player I have has skimped on the buffer side of the ram inside. But certainly seems applicable to do something like 'flash your player for damages.
The in-house network(ed) DRM scenarios for the digital file''isn't something I'm B leaving in for now. The harp in the conversatio seems to be what impression Microsoft can make on developers from its archetecture of digital copyrighted work in DRM software.
From my perspective - its like talking to some teenagers mother. Or conjecturing behavorial change in the same teenager.
Who knows though. 'Might get applause before aplore.
Doesn't seem to be any risk in taking over a client system utilizing DRM in this way. What should be public is the 'agreement Microsoft puts out.As public. Same situation as those of that Japanese company in IP applies to the ideals of 'person, and equipment. In this instance wouldn't matter is 'Microsoft 'Disagreed since
