ooXML is as open as anything and it is standardized now whether you or IBM like it or not. However, IBM's "employees intend to argue against the inclusion of Office Open XML". Oh I see, they are OK with standards as long as MS has nothing to do with them. As you said, it's hard to get rid of the lobbyists in MA, specially those with blue shirts ...
