GPL / GNU interpretation must be defined now
I believe there is a way for commercial and Open Source to coexist. GPL 3 discusses ways to disable extensions developed by third parties and there is an effort to make it impossible for commercial plug-in developers to serve the Open Source community -- sponsored by folks who want to destroy both commercial and Open Source software.

The sponsors of this rubbish GPL 3 don't believe in commercial software or Open Source. Read their manifesto at www.fsf.org

There is now a two front attack on Open Source -- on the right you have Microsoft FUD. On the right you have a flood of absolute insanity from the GPL authors and proponents, designed to chill the commercial extension industry. More FUD.

What is needed is a lot more discussion because the enemies of Open Source don't seem to realize how counter productive they are to the software industry. The commercial software industry needs to defend its right to serve the Open Source world without facist or communist seizure.

There is now enough FUD to harm the entire software industry, and keep in mind -- consumers are watching.
