We have the freedom we need...
Name a better license that enables me as a sole developer to have the freedoms important to me, and I'll develop with that license instead. Remember, your proposal must exactly fit my criterion: absolute preservation of the code commons, a linear growth factor directly proportional to developers, zero cost, scalable development, AND never a time when someone implements a new feature and refuses to permit me, the creator of the code on which their feature depends, to not be permitted that feature in my base code OR a machine upon which the feature can be executed.

The GPL grants us the freedom we need to develop and distribute the software we wish to write, and prevents what we see as abuse and misuse of our hard work. It is the only license that does so and does so completely. I have an open mind though and so I make the challenge.

Surprise me.
