this is the same as MS's SW licensing scheme except Sun dispensed with the pretense of counting machines (like MS schemes all amount too) and simply says add up your employees, pay a negotiated fee based on that metric recounted anually, and use whatever you want.

And this strategy is going to rule if they get their systems/policy management virtualization vision implemented in a heterogenous model which includes support for Windows ...
