You talk about MS' IE improvements but don't say what they are. Do they have tabbed browsing? Do they have pop up blocking? What exactly are the improvements that you are talking about... active X access to you computer or some other 'improvement' so other computers can take over your computer?

Are you saying that there were no improvements between IE 3 (approx) and IE 6?

By the way, as often discussed, the popup blocking and tabbed browsing (which I'd turn off) functions are easily available from free add-ons. A web browser has well-defined basic functionality.
