Sophisticated popup stopping

Somebody somewhere must care about popups, because it does rate an occasional news article (or is it press release?) on ZDNet. So now you guys get into a contest about how long they have not existed. Is there no limit to partisanship?

Well, he started it.

And if you're using IE you might take a look at the link included in my last post. This is supposed to be a "smart" popup stopper, able to tell advertising popups from others on its own and without the sort of training given anti-spam programs.
As far as I can tell it works. At least, in the years I've used it, I can remember having to override its decision only once. The new $20 version is supposed to be even better than the free one, from forum posts.

A possibly useful find is worth a non-partisan mention.
