If there is a product out there I need and would like to have I will pay for it. Believe it or not the one Win2K system I have, I paid for the OS and software that is installed on it. I have the licenses placed where they are safe and that I can produce quickly along with the receipts for purchase.

I have a good number of Linux apps that I have paid for as well.

SuSE 8.0 / 8.2 / 9.0 / 9.1
Mandrake 6.1 / 6.5 / 7.0
Kivio
Rekall
Moneydance

I paid cash $ for them, even though I could have downloaded them for free. Or used an alternative. Just because we support Open Source doesn't mean we expect all software to be free. Just priced reasonable and licensed reasonable.
