I've Turned Off Flash
flash bites. well, not really. but the way it's used and abused is horendus. because flash permits the web developer to control what my computer can do (ie, can't stop the flash from looping, disables ie stop button, etc), it's rather like a tv that a given ad can prevent you from adjusting the volume down. so, i've used flashswitch to disable flash on my pc. and i only rarely have to turn flash on; there's so little of real substance out there that's not otherwise accessible (that is, without flash). if i had one word of advice for macromedia, it would be to provide flash with a feature set for the end user, and not for the developer. but i don't see that happening anytime soon, so flash remains off on my pc.
