Not a single penny
The leading paragraph says it all, "in an effort to assuage Google and head off a further antitrust battle with U.S. regulators." Microsoft has lost these battles before and would probably lose this one as well. MS put out there product knowing that this would come and just waited until somebody complained. As soon as the complaint came they could further delay by stating that it would be changed during a SP update and not a hot-fix update. A smart business move that gives them almost a year of doing things how they want without losing a dime on anti-trust suits.
