On TechRepublic: Windows 7: Slower to boot than Vista?

Hmmm... that makes things tough.
Virtually ever computer available today has emulation for all kinds of hardware that's
no longer included in a modern PC, such as an SVGA card. Taken literally, it would be
difficult to even boot Vista since it depends on SVGA and other hardware and BIOS
emulation during boot.

Perhaps this means it's only legal to install Vista on an EFI PC, like a Mac?
