Spin vs. reality
It seems to me that every time these studies are published they always have the same motivation the same backing, and are done by people who already know what they want to find. Which they naturally always end up finding.

I think it would be positively amazing if someone did a well thought out, well researched, unbiased study for once. Stop trying to make the report say what you have already decided.

Another thing I find telling... every time we hear from someone who works in IT for a company that has switched from X to Linux, they say it's cheaper. Now who would know better than the people on the front lines? We approach IT just as bass-ackwardly as we do war. We have the front lines being led by people who have no idea what it's like on the front lines.
