StarOffice vs. OpenOffice
Yes it is. Basically it adds the Adabas D database
engine (which is not GPL) and support.

OOo still has the database front end tools which
include table access (just press F4), an Access-like
query building tool (or you can use plain old SQL), form
tools and wizard, report tools and wizard, and macros.
What is missing, however, are "relationship" tools to
create relationships (foreign keys) directly between
tables the way Access lets you. You have to do that
within a query instead. You must get your own
server-based database, but of course MySQL is GPL
and can be downloaded for free. It does make it easier
to connect to MySQL if you install the Connector/J
JDBC driver. Also if you know what you are doing you
can connect to any database server using ODBC or
JDBC drivers. As you may be able to tell, I've been
spending a bit of time lately getting more acquainted
with those database tools wink.

It says StarOffice 6.1 in the document, but it has been
rechristened 7.0.
