but not likely to be significant. The existence of junk patents does not mean that infringing them is a serious problem. The same study (that MS quotes its numbers from) had a greater number of violations counted in Windows and related software than were the reverse. Again - not a problem - they are almost as unlikely to succeed in today's climate.

Hopefully the whole idea of software IP will go away soon. The US doesn't need to be out of step with ALL the rest of the world!
