Linspire and Xandros were already insignificant before they sold their souls. Their deals are nothing more than a desperate attempt to become relevant.

Unless something has changed, Torvalds has said he's staying with v2. But as Stallman points out, GNU IS Linux. the kernel is insignificant.

If Torvalds keeps his word, then I guess we'll just have to see how it unfolds. I predict it's going to cause futher loss of solidarity among Linux communities.
