Good point, since when did MS support anything.
But, they at least supply security updates, without that you could not continue to use Win98 / Office97 in a corporate environment.

They would much rather keep customers on Win98 than to see them switch to Linux. And, since customers have figured out Win98 by now, they really only need to supply security updates.
