DRM NOT WORKABLE
Music - The only reason for any DRM is to appease the RIAA otherwise it has no value or purpose. For music MP3 is the standard format and any music can be obtained in this format or ripped into this format. Without some DRM the RIAA won't let you sell the music eventhough whatever protection is used is irrelevant because the music is already in mp3 format and available somewhere or can easily be ripped into that format.

Video - Protection on video is equally irrelevant and unnecessary whatever protection is applied can be stripped and the the media shared over the net. Most people enjoy movies in the theater or on cable and any business streaming video over the net is at least 10 years or more off.

Documents - There is no demand for this. In reality the real purpose for this type of DRM is to lock down apps and make transferring them between machines almost impossible so that you have to buy a separate app for each machine you want to install it on. This would break the independance of the app and machine. Consumers would never buy into this because of the extreme hardships this would cause when transfering machines.

The long and short of it is DRM won't sell, is not wanted and will do nothing to stop piracy. The definition of piracy and what is considered fair use needs to be extended to the net. Distribution over the net cannot be stopped and should just be accepted.
