Thanks for the clarification that it's SCO, OpenServer and Unixware they're talking about, and also who Vintella belongs to. It puts an entirely new light on the article.

The article was depressing initially, as if associating yourself with Unix was hitching your fate to a sinking market segment.

It matters to those of us that make our living on the mainstream Unixes.
