DSL rocks! I love this little mini Linux. I run it both from the LiveCD and from my USB memory stick. I haven't tried the embedded version yet, but you are making me curious.

However, as much as I love DSL, it's not quite in the same league as Ubuntu. Ubuntu is maintained by a large team, gets automatic security and stability updates, has a high development speed and so forth. That's why I'm quite excited by this new direction that Ubuntu is taking.

Debian embedded is quite new to me, I know nothing about that. Sounds promising as well.
