More guns-- yes, I can definitely see how those already out there have improved society immensely. More weapons will surely cure the worlds ills.
And "ensure [people's] safety from government employees? What a load of crap-- again, the cheap easy "them" versus "us" b.s. Government employees are, by and large, formed of individuals much like the rest of us. They work, worry about bills, their kids, their neurotic, bumbling, incoherent President.
Those who initiated the merging off all the various departments should have had, much like with the invasion of Iraq, a cogent plan in place. Comes from cowboys having watched too many spaghetti westerns.
