Why would anyone bother?
For the [L]users:
The only reason most people have, and still use IE is because they're too lazy/ignorant to download a better browser. Why would those same people download a third party's add-on for a browser that hasn't been improved in almost three years, and probably never will be.

For the [Pl]ucked company:
Great strategic move, hitching your cart to a product that's beyond it's support life.
