Robert Half ....

Actually, posting a job that doesn't exist that is suddenly "filled" when applicants respond sounds illegal - bait and switch. It's a common sales technique....and if you feel like they are selling you something - it's because they are.

Robert Half will charge you to find you a job - I think 25% of your first year salary...if my memory serves me well. There may be instances where the company pays the fee and still pays you a fair salary, but it's not likely to happen in these times unless you have very special skills.

Better to put your time and money into your own job search than to rely on them. And, we can take the results of their survey with a grain of salt since they are most assuredly biased.
