supply and demand...you're right
I don't beleive the crap I'm reading on these posts...

The lower IT wages have nothing to do with MS certs getting what they desearve...or cracks trying to cut it as Software engineers....it is one simple thing corperate greed and a government that doesn't care about the labor in the industry. I do agree that there are probably a lot that got into the field that never should have...but it doesn't change the fact of what is happening and it has nothing to do with people getting paid what they desearve...and that's all I hear from every post. It has to do with the field being abused...with visas being abused...and with american citizens having to cope with an abused system by accepting lower paying jobs or be replaced by someone working in India. I mean come on just look on any job offering site and just about every job posted on IT based work requires at least 5 years of experience...why? That's obvious no one wants to train noobs when there are five billion people in the field with experience....and the reason why those people are there isn't just because of the economy but also because of outsourcing and visas. No one is going to get culled out that is already working in the field....and no American companies will never pay Indias competitive wages for the simple reason of that's why they are hiring them in the first place. If they couldn't cheat them out of the money that they are owed (considering how much those creative minds are making these companies) they wouldn't be using them at all. `

It's real simple...after the corperate greed has built up 3rd world countries IT sectors...those IT sectors will start producing jobs of their own and software systems of their own. Internal networks will be formed...networks that American IT workers can not and will never be allowed in just as it is today. Then finally when India's IT sector has been built up enough with our money from rich investors they will begin to see competitive wages in India...at wich point they will turn back to America only to see virtually no IT laborers because a huge number retired in 2005-2010 and anyone without any skills where not let into companies to start their careers. So you are wrong this isn't anything about a culling proccess...this is about rich people getting richer...this is about building up a 3rd world countries economy at the expense of middle class workers and at the profit of rich investors...haha...and if you think the customers will be seeing the savings made by working with India that's a joke and a half. You're right it is about supply and demand...you're in demand because you have skills+experience...but how long will it be before you have to take a contracting job for less due to someone suggesting outsourcing instead of your experience....it's only a matter of time. Just hope you retire before it comes. On the bright side...despite the fact we are sacrificing our economy to benifit the rich and a 3rd world economy...there is a distant future where IT work will be in demand again...of course that's asuming the American companies don't move oversees when they realize there aren't enough IT laborers here with the right skills anymore...
