- I spent the last 6 years building my career and my salary dropped 10k (puts me around 31k) after my last layoff from a failing software company. Meanwhile the girl who sells Jell-O shots at the local bar made over 50k last year, and my ex girlfriend brought in about 70k cutting hair. I owe 20k for my student loans and will be paying for them until I'm 65 at this rate. aarrrggg!!!
