Go GPL v3!
Let's not forget that a primary purpose of the GPL v3 is to further enhance and protect software freedoms in the face of an ever changing landscape. Novell-Microsoft pacts seem a bit like MS using Free software on their own restrictive proprietary terms. GPLv3 it seems would mean anyone using it really does have to do it on the terms (and in the spirit of) of the Free Software movement. People value Freedom and Co-operation!
