Sorry I missed your posting earlier but you are right about the parallel processing in the AMIGA. I guess you and I are showing our age.

Perhaps we might see a glimmer of hope with AMD and their purchase of ATI. Perhaps they can take the design concepts of the AMIGA and combine them into the CPU design itself with the graphics processing and sound processing having their own dedicated cores within the multi-core chips...who knows...we can only hope.
