When I said choice

i was talking about OO and Google apps and any other vendor out there claiming to have something that replaces Microsoft Office.

And Office 2003 didn't sell that well, so this was pent up demand. Office 2003 didn't have a big edge on Office 2000 and basically many shops didn't buy into it. That is why you see that Office 2007 had double the sales during it's debut than Office 2003 did. that's not about availability, that's about demand. Clearly Office 2007 is a very desirable suite of software. Have you used it? It's great and a departure for the old buried menu hierarchies. And it's a great programming tool with visual studio 2005. MOSS is extremely powerful and many sites are investing in Office 2007 and sharepoint to get that functionality. Forget all the other suites that have very limited functionality. Office 2007 just happens to be a great word processor, spreadsheet and presentation software, but that's just the surface. Underneath it's the new GUI for your company. All employees who have O2k7 are able to get to teh data they need at any time. It times into their communications system with OCS and with Sharepoint on the backend you've got complete collaboration and Business intelligence capabilities that ties seamlessly into Office. It's the utopia of Office software.

Yes, my clients had no interuptions in buying XP at any point in time. There was no point where Vista was ALL you could get as the prior poster to my last message insinuated. He is just flat out wrong, which is not surprising if you read many of his posts.
