someone explain to me.....
how not being able to make copies of legally purchases DVD slides around our fair use provisions? and why are these infringments (if htey are after all) allowed to be passed through the courts?

I don't know a ton about fair use, but these sorts of rulings fly directly in the face of what i understand fairuse to be.

If hollywood doesn't want 321 to allow copying shouldn't they be on the hook for providing us with a method to legally backup our rather expensive DVD's?
