Don't bother
First there was OS X Beta. It worked, and pretty well.
OS X was released ... and it got faster.
Then it was updated ... and it got faster yet again.
The next release, running in debug mode (slows it down) is
already faster.
When the next release actually ships it'll be faster yet.

The applications themselves have also typically gotten faster and
better with each release. Safari today absolutely smokes IE
(Windows or Mac version). Mail just keep getting better along
with the next iChat which beats anything Microsoft does with
linking up their network (who really uses MSN anyway?). Show
me one thing in Windows that compares to Expose. One.

In comparing [Microsoft] Office v.X and v.2004 ... it got SLOWER.
Much slower for some uses actually. Like most of Microsoft
programming ... stay away from this one. It would be nice to day
OpenOffice ported native to OS X sooner than, what? 2006?
Maybe WordPerfect for OS X will mysteriously appear. One can
only hope. happy
