- i don't get who's losing a job in your senario? a company uses MySQL with the "free" licencse.. they are still paying soemone to do the development. As opposed to MySQL itself paying soemone to develop the system. There is NO free labour here.. someone is gettign paid to do this...
unless some guy on the street, just decides he wants to donate his time for free. I suppose you could argue that this might cause someone to lose a job... but if someone is willing to do th esame job for free, is it worth paying someone else $100k a year to do the same job? Either way, would you say the person donatng his time for free is a bad person?
