Oath of Omerta
In the USA, citizens are more likely to believe a conspiracy theory than any other plausible explanation because... well those theories just are hard to disprove and likely really do explain the way the world has been. I love the connection of 322, the 322 branch of a German secret society which makes SAP look suspicious, Bush look suspicious, and Microsoft look suspicious. See

Even if you do not subscribe to the American way of thinking on conspiracies, this Web 2.0 world is without a doubt threatening to those who are use to controlling communication and hence thought.

Web 2.0 has empowered an army of US citizens that are protected from slander and liability when their comments are directed towards public figures (like those running for office, promoting scams, and heading corporations). We are compelled to speak out. You can not be a true US citizen if you have taken an Oath of Omerta (silence).
