dont confuse...
...'faith' with 'religion'.

at its core, faith is equivalent in meaning to belief, trust, or confidence. i can have faith that the chair i am about to sit in will hold my weight; if i sit in that chair, i am exercising that faith. unless i have taken the time to thoroughly investigate and scientifically test that chair to prove it can hold me, i am, in fact, basing my decision to sit in it on faith.

all of us have a portion of ourselves that is based on 'faith'. not everything in life can be rationally explained or proven, and even more frequently things that can be rationally explained or proven cannot be done so by *us* (the one holding the particular belief), because we cannot all be experts in everything.

for example, some believe in god. god cannot be necessarily proven, so that is faith. some others believe there is no god. god cannot also necessarily be disproven, so that is also faith.

atheism is a religion like any other; at its core, a religion is just a set of attitudes, beliefs, and practices.

you faith is also closed minded, as many you accuse are. its just the nature of the beast. often those who claim to be the most open-minded are frequently the most closed-minded; they are open-minded to anyone they consider as similarly open-minded, but are almost violently closed minded towards those they consider closed minded.

remember: you are an individual. just like everyone else.
