Not as easy as you think.
>>This is going to be too easy:<<
LOL!

>>Practicing Catholics don't support abortion - Kerry does.<<
Hmmm. So if you're not anti-abortion, you're not Catholic regardless of whatever else you believe or do? Do you apply the same logic to Catholics who support the death penalty? Or the war in Iraq, for that matter? Even if you do, what do you have to say to the many millions of Protestants who are not anti-abortion?

>>Bush flew F-102's during 'Nam - they were specifically a high-altitude interceptor (remember the Cold War) designed to do one thing only: Take out Soviet bombers. With our COMBAT pilots in Viet Nam, the National Guard had to take over for protecting American shores. In addition, serving in the Guard was NO guarentee that you were going to avoid Viet Nam - many Guard units were activated and sent there much like today that are serving in Iraq.<<
The Soviet Union had no bombers capable of reaching Texas, so Dubya wasn't defending the country from much of anything. Moreover, he left the National Guard a few months early: AFTER the U.S. had pulled all of it's combat units out of Viet Nam, but a few decades before the Soviet Union collapsed. And very few guard units were sent to Viet Nam, which is why it was such a popular form of "service" during the war. Bush says he was in favor of the war. If he had wanted to go to Viet Nam, he could very easily have accomplished this by enlisting in an active duty unit; unlike the National Guard, people weren't lining up for active duty service in those days. But I guess Bush was content to let people who didn't have his connections fight the war for him.

>>However, if you are talking Kerry and morals, keep in mind that Kerry admitted to being a war criminal by breaking the rules of the Geneva Convention (among other things, he used .50 cal machine guns against people - a big no-no).<<
If you're talking about his testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, then that's a gross distortion of what Kerry said: http://pages.xtn.net/~wingman/docs/kerryst.htm

>>Kerry was basically "tossed out" of Nam by his superiors because he was considered "unstable" - they came forth recently and admitted they gave him his Purple Hearts to get him out of there. His code-name in 'Nam was "Boston Strangler".<<
Isn't it funny how none of this came out 30 years ago when Kerry first achieved notoriety for his opposition to the war. Where were these guys when the Nixon sicked the FBI on Kerry in search of any information that could be used to discredit him? It's only now that he's running for President that somebody "remembered" how and why Kerry left Viet Nam.

>>"Liberals aren't put off by morals and religion, just by self-righteous conservatives who use their interpretation of morality and religion as a club to bludgeon and demonize those who disagree with their political views."

HELLO? Have you SEEN the anti-American and Bush-haters on TV lately? Now, tell me how ANY conservative has been THAT judgemental<<
I thought we were talking about liberals being put off by morals and religion? But since you've decided to change the subject, I would say YOU'RE being pretty darn judgmental for calling people who are opposed to Bush and his ill-considered war in Iraq "anti-American".
>>... wait - you can't.<<
I can't? Have you listened to talk radio lately????
>>Because, unlike liberals, conservatives don't HATE everything they don't agree with...<<
No, they just want to outlaw everything they don't agree with.

>>Then obviously they are NOT Christians - unless you want to apply your own logic and condemn EVERY Muslim for what happened on 9/11...<<
Actually, I wasn't condemning Christianity. I happen to be a Christian, myself (Catholic and pro-Life, BTW). I was merely pointing out that there are people who lead moral lives who are not Christian, and many people who've called themselves Christians who've lived lives that were anything but Christ-like. Wrapping oneself in the banner of Christianity does not automatically make one a moral person.
And since you mentioned condemning every Muslim for what happened on 9/11, I'd just like to point out that that is far more characteristic of conservatives than it is of liberals. I'd be a wealthy man if I had a quarter for every time I heard a conservative justify the Iraq war by saying that "These people attacked us!"

>>Ever hear the term "Answering to a higher authority"? Liberals are only afraid of being caught by their peers. Christians are afraid of judgement when they die. Liberals only are concerned when they think someone is watching. Christians believe someone is ALWAYS watching... <<
Blah, blah, blah. I've got news for you: there are LOTS of people who are both liberal AND Christian.
